Accessibility Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to the website www.drinks-and-more.com.
Our commitment to accessibility: At Drinks & More, we are committed to making our digital services accessible to everyone. We are constantly working to remove barriers and ensure that people with different abilities can use our website.
Legal basis and target standard: This website is designed to be largely accessible and is continuously being optimised. The technical requirements for accessibility are based on the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Conformity Level AA. This also complies with the requirements of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), which comes into force for our relevant digital services and products on 28 June 2025.
Verification status and updates: Verification of compliance with the BFSG requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out at regular intervals. This accessibility statement was last updated on 26 June 2025 and is regularly reviewed and amended as necessary to transparently demonstrate the progress of our efforts. The website www.drinks-and-more.com is partially compliant with the requirements of the BFSG due to the following implementations and incompatibilities.
THE FOLLOWING CONTENT IS LARGELY ACCESSIBLE:
We have already made significant efforts to improve the usability of our website. The following sections have already been made largely accessible:
- Text and Contrast: The website uses fonts and font sizes that are easy to read. Care is taken to ensure sufficient colour contrast to improve readability for people with visual impairments and to meet WCAG requirements.
- Navigation and keyboard control: The main navigation is consistent and logically structured. The entire website can be navigated entirely using the keyboard, making it possible to use the site without a mouse. The keyboard focus is always visible.
- Structure and semantic markup: The page structure is clearly organised using a logical hierarchy of headings (<h1>, <h2>, etc.). Elements such as lists, tables and form fields are semantically marked up correctly to enable screen readers (such as VoiceOver) and other read-aloud functions to interpret and reproduce the content accurately. This includes the correct declaration of the website’s primary language.
- Responsive design: The website is designed to be responsive and adapts to different screen sizes and devices (desktops, tablets, smartphones) without any loss of content or functionality (reflow).
THE FOLLOWING CONTENT IS NOT ACCESSIBLE (UNDER REVISION):
Due to the scope and history of the content on this website, we are currently unable to guarantee 100% compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working hard to gradually optimise these areas and achieve full accessibility:
- Alternative text for images (alt text): Although our content management system (CMS) allows for the maintenance of alternative text and this feature is already in active use, not all informative images and graphics currently have the necessary meaningful descriptions. The process of fully updating the alt text for all existing content is an ongoing one.
- Link presentation and purpose: The presentation and labelling of links are being reviewed to ensure that their purpose is always clear from the link text alone, without the need for context.
- Accessibility of older documents: Some older PDF documents and other file formats available on the website may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to revise these gradually or to provide accessible alternatives. Newly created documents are produced with a focus on accessibility.
- Multimedia content: Some video and audio content on the website does not yet have full subtitles, transcripts or audio descriptions. We are endeavouring to add these.
- Complex diagrams/graphics: Very complex diagrams or graphics may be difficult for blind or visually impaired users to understand, even if alternative text is provided. A detailed textual description may be added where necessary to improve accessibility.
- Third-party interactive elements: Certain embedded third-party content or services (e.g. map services, social media feeds, embedded videos from external platforms) may have accessibility limitations over which we have only limited control. However, we deliberately select our partners based on their commitment to accessibility.
